US job creation is shifting from rich coastal cities to the Sunbelt and Midwest. The shift is in large part a result of skyrocketing housing costs in coastal cities. This is in part because these cities have a lower cost of living — driven by lower housing costs — as big coastal cities have become increasingly unaffordable. At the same time, major coastal cities like New York City, Los Angeles, and Seattle saw their hiring shares decline. The richest coastal cities are also suffering from negative perceptions about safety and public order, and those reputations likely also play a role in people leaving.

It was the most times she had mentioned Trump at an event so far this year, according to a Biden campaign official. She also mentioned how abortion bans like the one going into effect in Florida on Wednesday threaten medical providers with criminal prosecution. “Donald Trump stripped away the rights and freedoms of women in America,” Biden said in Tampa. In remarks last month from Tucson, Arizona, she issued a blistering rebuke of the state’s Civil War-era ban while warning a second Trump term could see a possible federal abortion ban. “Part of a full-on attack, state by state, on reproductive freedom – and we all must understand who is to blame.

It can help prospective early retirees figure out how much money they can spend in retirement without running out. When Lauren and Steven Keys set out to achieve financial independence and allow themselves the freedom to quit their 9-to-5s, they kept this formula in mind. But then they did an early retirement "test run" of sorts in 2015: They quit full-time work and traveled to Hawaii for six months. What they realized is that early retirement doesn't necessarily mean they'll never work again. Lauren and Steven Keys quit full-time work in their 20s.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Coming off back-to-back losing seasons, Florida coach Billy Napier needed to make changes. Napier hired a “head coach of the defense,” an “expert in the special teams space” and a new strength and conditioning coordinator during the past two months. Napier and the Gators are counting on all the new faces making a huge difference this fall. Napier could give up play-calling duties for the first time in seven seasons as a head coach. His offense was inconsistent, his defense was historically woeful and his special teams units provided more head-scratching moments than game-changing momentum.
